About the Company

Our hiring partner is building technology that helps organizations deliver seamless experiences for their customers and communities. Their platform supports businesses managing complex, high-volume workflows by bringing together multiple tools and services into a unified, reliable ecosystem.

The company is growing quickly and looking for engineers who enjoy solving challenging technical problems, improving systems at scale, and taking ownership of meaningful infrastructure initiatives. You'll join a collaborative team where your work will have a direct impact on the reliability, performance, and scalability of the platform.

What You'll Do

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll take ownership of the systems that power the company's products and services. You'll design, build, automate, and maintain reliable infrastructure while partnering closely with software engineers to improve development velocity and production stability.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Own and evolve the infrastructure stack, including compute, networking, storage, databases, deployments, and production environments.
  • Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code practices, and automation frameworks that enable teams to ship reliably.
  • Design scalable systems through capacity planning, performance optimization, load testing, and proactive reliability improvements.
  • Partner with engineering teams to improve application architecture, developer tooling, and production readiness.
  • Implement and maintain observability solutions across services, including logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting.
  • Improve incident detection and response by creating meaningful monitoring strategies and reducing unnecessary operational noise.
  • Participate in infrastructure and application code reviews, contribute technical documentation, and share knowledge across the team.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize cloud usage, improve efficiency, and reduce unnecessary infrastructure costs.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps, SRE, or Production Engineering roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, including designing and operating production workloads.
  • Experience with container technologies and orchestration platforms (AWS Fargate experience is a strong plus).
  • Strong Infrastructure-as-Code experience, ideally with Terraform or similar tools.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using modern tooling such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or equivalent.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills using Python, Bash, or similar languages.
  • Experience with observability platforms and designing effective monitoring and alerting strategies.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases, including concepts such as backups, replication, performance tuning, and recovery processes. Experience with caching systems or messaging platforms is a plus.
  • Comfortable working in Git-based development environments and collaborating through code reviews.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A proactive mindset, strong troubleshooting skills, and curiosity about how complex systems operate and fail.

Why Join?

  • Fully employer-paid health benefits.
  • Work from a conveniently located Toronto office.
  • Join a collaborative engineering team with opportunities for learning and growth.
  • Have direct ownership over systems that impact real customers.
  • Work in an environment where engineers are encouraged to take initiative and make meaningful contributions.

Who Thrives Here

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, continuous improvement, and solving complex technical challenges. You'll have the opportunity to make an immediate impact, work closely with talented teammates, and help shape the future of a growing technology platform.
